Dr. Ann Zauber, Associate Attending Biostatistician for the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, discusses the worldwide colorectal cancer (CRC) rates, the risk factors for CRC, as well as the CRC screening programs and studies currently being conducted worldwide. She also describes the use of a micro-simulation model to assess what would happen to CRC mortality rates if a screening intervention were used in the United States.
